Shika Mkono transforms rural Uganda through dignified work, sustainable agriculture, and genuine partnership because everyone deserves a pathway to prosperity, not just a handout.
The Shika Mkono Story
Shika Mkono Limited was born from a simple belief: every person deserves dignified work, not handouts. Founded as a faith-based social enterprise in rural Uganda, we create sustainable employment through agriculture and entrepreneurship. Our name means "Take My Hand" in Swahili.
From a small agricultural start, we've grown into coffee production, dairy operations, and maize milling with 150-tonne monthly capacity. Former employees became entrepreneurs, separated families reunited, and villages gained clean water access.
